Karl Pearson은 사회 진화론을 지지한 근대 지식인이었다. 우리가 아는 대부분의 근대 지식인, 철학자들은 인종차별적 시각을 갖고 있었다. 이런 점을 모르고 국내 대학들은 서구 철학자들의 사상을 그냥 가르쳐 왔다.
