서양의 시대별 정치적 사고 연구물

 

한국의 근현대사에 대한 논란은 아직 끝나지 않은 전쟁과 같다는 것이 내 느낌이다. 왜 이런 논란이 계속될까? 이해관계에 기반한 집단간의 정치적 논란이라는 현상적 인식에 그치지 말고, 근본적인 질문을 던져 보는 것은 어떨까? 근현대에 형성된 우리의 정치적 사고는 과연 어떠한 모습일까? 만약 그것이 현재의 정치현상까지 영향을 미치고 있는 것은 아닐까? 그렇다면 정치적 사고에 대한 근본적인 성찰이 필요한 것이 아닌가?

 

Dick Howard는 전체주의 문제에 접근하기 위해 '모든 정치에 반정치적인 것이 본내적으로 존재하고 있다'는 명제를 증명하려고 노력 중이다. 당시의 정치에 반정치적인 것이 중요하게 작용한 것은 아닌가? 이런 관점에서도 정치적 사고를 연구할 필요가 있다(Dick Howard 2011)*.
